Art with a Touch of History and Whimsy
I am DJ Mertz, the artist behind Art N Oldstuff where I create watercolor paintings accented with gouache, ink, and color pencil. I am often inspired by historic buildings - like those from ancient Rome and other treasures (or “old stuff”) from the past. But I also love whimsy and my Bunnies & Butterflies Fanciful Art collection is a reflection of that. Join me on this artistic journey where each piece tells a story, sparking joy and smiles!
A Collection of Fine Art Filled with Nostalgia and Fanciful Places
I am pleased to share that two of my Bunnies & Butterflies Fanciful Art paintings have been accepted to another juried show! The Misfits & Mayhem art exhibition at the Denison Arts Council Gallery in Denison, Texas is described as "an exhibition of... well, anything!" My pieces are Snowflake Glen & Shepherd's Hut, two of my favorites. Opening night and reception is on November 14 from 4-6pm, stop by if you can! It will be fun!
I would love to hear from you! Whether you have questions about my art, wish to commission a piece, or simply want to say hello, feel free to reach out.
